ALL YOU NEED DO IS ASK!
Beginners Traditional Patchwork & Quilting Classes – 3 times a year, usually on a Thursday evening, over 9 weeks. You’ll learn all the basic techniques by hand, hand quilting, construction & binding of your quilt. We generally make a cot sized quilt, but this can be a larger finished piece if you have the time. Just ask me for details.
Further Patchwork & Quilting Techniques – 3 times a year, usually on a Tuesday evening, over 9 weeks. This covers traditional hand sewing techniques like Cathedral Window, Celtic Applique, Somerset Patchwork and lots more! We usually make just a sample of each technique, this lets you know if it’s something you like doing and would wish to carry on with. Details on request.
One & Two Day Classes – These are run throughout the year on request. The days are built around what you would like to learn, so any of the traditional techniques, by hand or machine. Also my technique of Reverse Applique…..Pile & Plunder!! If you’re not sure please mooch around my site at photos then email me your requirements and I’m sure we can sort something out! You can either join me in my studio to play (maybe you fancy a few sewing days in Cornwall?) or I can come and play with you…….unfortunately you have to pay for me to get to you, but this is done as reasonably as possible! Don’t be afraid to ask, I travel all over!
Presentations – I come out to play!! I bring lots of my stuff and we can have a ‘huge show and tell’ followed by a poke about the quilts and wall hangings, or I can design something more specific for your group. The ‘Show and Tell’s’ are never the same, and due to the fact that I keep making stuff, there’s always something new!………. just ask!
Shows – I attend various show’s around the country throughout the year, teaching on stand (or sometimes in posh rooms!) These are usually mini taster sessions of my technique or maybe some very traditional patchwork techniques, classes vary according to where and what I’m requested to provide. I also bring along Books/Kits/Pieces of Textile Art/Patterns/odds & sods!! Please ask if you would like me to attend somewhere, or if you would like to know where & what I’m going to be doing. Most dates are in the ‘Calendar’ page of this blog, but not everything, please just ask.
