Quilts UK Malvern 18th – 21st May 2023

I will be at the UK’s best patchwork and quilting event in Malvern this year!

There is a huge selection of traders from all over the UK, wonderful workshops for you to participate in and a great selection of competition quilts and feature displays to inspire your purchases.

I will be running a Crazy Patchwork Drawstring Bags workshop – “Stitch ‘n’ Flip” .
We’ll be making a small bag; it’s a fun hand make that teaches you how to do crazy
patchwork whilst making a useable item. Once you know how, you can make any size
and embellish them (or not!) to your heart’s content! Reusable gift bag, Christmas,
birthdays, make-up bag, phone protector, glasses case, bottle bags, all manner of
uses!

Craft 4 Crafters- Devon Craft Show

I will be attend the Craft 4 Crafters show at Westpoint Centre, Exeter between Thursday 30th March & Saturday 1st April. This is a really great show with lots on offer, if you are planning on coming to the show, pop along and see me and say hello. 🙂

I will be running workshops again this year and teaching you how to do crazy patchwork using a quick design for a pouch. Once you know the basic ‘how to’ of this traditional technique you can utilise it in numerous projects.

We’ll be sewing by hand, but this technique is easily completed by machine.

The actual pouch design can be made to any size or shape once you know how to make it.

There will be a handout sheet to act as a reminder for you for future projects.

Sessions run: Thursday AM & PM, Friday AM & PM. Saturday AM & PM

Running times: 10:30, 11:45, 1:15, 2:30

South West Quilt Show 2023

The South West Quilt Show run by Grosvener Shows will be at Newton Abbot Racecourse between Thursday 23rd February – Saturday 25th February. There will be lots of fabulous things to see and workshops too!

This will be my first show of the year and I’m really looking forward to running two different workshops each day, Crazy patchwork and Japanese folded patchwork. Come and join me for some sewing fun!

‘Throught the Window!” – The New Mystery Quilt BOM

The new Mystery Quilt BOM – ‘Throught the Window!”

You can purchase just monthly patterns and/or fabric kit as well.

I LOVE this design, maybe I shouldn’t say that out loud, but I really do, I’ve been so excited whilst making, ‘such fun!’

I’ve reduced the usual price of the Mystery BOM pattern on this occasion as I’d love as many as possible to join in! It’s so happy!

There are 16 blocks, traditional piecing with appliqué, they come as full sized paper patterns with colour instructions over 6mths. It would suit most capabilities (I’m about to help as necessary) I’ll set up a private Facebook group for those taking part.

The fabric kit has enough fabric to complete the quilt top with border & binding, you’ll need to add your own thread, wadding & backing fabric. The kits are limited!
